Sign Language and Deaf Awareness Courses

BSL Level 1 (60 hours + self study)

This course is suitable for individuals who wish to learn how to communicate with D/deaf people using BSL in social situations.  Courses are held on Mondays at 16.30.18.30 or Tuesdays at 17.00-19.00 for 30 weeks.

BSL Level 2 (60 hours + self study)

This course is suitable for individuals who wish to develop their BSL skills further. Courses are held on Wednesdays at 17.30-20.00 for 32 weeks. 

Starts 14 September - £550

Pre-NVQ Level 3 (30 hours + self study)

This course is suitable for individuals who wish to prepare for the NVQ Level 3.  Courses are held on one Saturday a month, 10.00-16.00 from January to May. 

Dates to be announced - £250

BSL NVQ Level 3 (150 hours + self study)

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to further their BSL skills and for those who wish to move on to Level 6 in BSL or interpreting.  An interview is required.

Deaf Awareness (2 hours)

This course is suitable for anyone wanting an introduction to deafness and deaf culture.  This course can be delivered at your own premises.
